Review: "Avon Nail Experts Smudge Corrector"

This clear product claims to instantly perfect any imperfections or smudges in your nail polish in just one coat. Let's see how it actually performs:

Price: Since this is my mom's product, she paid about the price of a regular Avon nail polish- somewhere between $3 and $5, which is reasonable even if it didn't work perfectly.

Packaging: The box it comes in (pictured below) is the standard-issue Avon nail product box- pretty sturdy, but since it's black, opening and closing/using it often will result in visible wear and tear on the box. The bottle itself is heavy-duty substance similar to glass but without the weight. The flat bottle instead of their old-fashioned square packaging makes this bottle quite sleek and travel-ready.

Well..does it work?!
The answer: it depends on what kind of "smudge" you're using it on. The usual ding or big clump of polish in place to place will be easily corrected like magic. When my thumb and pinky of another hand collided and left one with a gap without polish and one with an extra supply of it, the one with extra polish was smoothed over. The places this doesn't seem to work on, however, are those patches where the polish disappears altogether (pictured on my pinky in the picture below). It just removes coats of polish until you decide to stop using it, at least when I tried. So it depends on what kind of smudge you're dealing with.

Texture: After you're done applying it, it just dries in a couple minutes with a top coat-like finish. It may be a little sticky than some top coats, but it definitely shines up your nails.

Thanks for reading & let me know what you think!(:
