Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream

Recently I've had the pleasure of testing the new Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream, courtesy of Influenster (thanks guys!), with active soy complex and other natural ingredients.

I've already done a video review on this, **which you can find here!** so I'll just give you a glossover in case you'd rather read a blog than watch a video!

I'm finally using my own pictures in blog posts, hurray! @elleohelle86 on Instagram

Pros:
*moisturizes very well and makes a good night cream
*pleasant, aloe-like scent
*light, quickly-absorbing consistency
*now that I've read others' reviews on this product, I did notice that it helped to fade dark circles and made me need less concealer, because now that I haven't used it for a week, they're a lot darker!

Cons: (aka deal breakers)
*broke me out/gave me pimples
*burned my skin on about half of the applications
*felt a little too oily

This product has been spotted at Walmart and will probably be at other drugstores or any place where Aveeno is sold, and I saw it retailing for $15. Overall, I'll still continue to use it because it moisturizes well, but it does burn and cause pimples, so I'll be retiring it until prom season is well over. I'm grateful for the experience to test it because I love this brand, but my skin was just a little too sensitive for this product.

Beauty & Clothing Haul- American Eagle, Aeropostale, TJ Maxx, Influenste...

My Issue With Blogging

So yesterday I signed up for a driving workshop at school, went to it, and the guy running it turned out to be the Marketer/Advertiser for the insurance company that was sponsoring it. "So what? That's boring" you might be thinking, but as those are my intended majors for college (and I'm in a marketing class right now), I thought it was a pretty big coincidence.

So as he was giving me a list of great classes I should take in college, he also said that I need to be "hooked in" to social media and start networking now in order to get my foot into the door of the industry, and so I can land a bangin internship down the road. Hehe- little did he know he was talking to a Youtube beauty guru who has also crowned herself as "The Twitter Queen." (conceited, yes, but also accurate) He also put a lot of emphasis on having a blog- which I haven't been so great at lately. BUT THIS ISN'T MY FAULT - Blogger is honestly against me.

Lately my videos haven't been showing up on my blog at ALL, which is obnoxious because I've been routinely posting them here for years and they've been fine.

I can barely figure out how to change my background and picture and layout, let alone having little widgets that get you to follow my Instagram or whatever.

I'm also bad at posting things BESIDES videos- I'll go through times when I do a lot of review s or life posts on here, or I'll have lots of great ideas, but those periods seem to come and go faster than printed leggings will.

Anyways, this is kind of me apologizing for having such horrible blog knowledge. It makes no sense- I  can edit a video on Adobe Premiere in my video editing class, which is pretty close to rocket science in my opinion, but I can't figure out my settings on a free blog site that's used by everyone and their brother? I don't get it.

Either way, I guess I'll have to up the ante for my social networking now, for the practical reason of the fact that I'm going to COLLEGE (or cawledge as I like to spell it. It seems less scary that way, am I right?) I actually just made a personal Google+ in addition to my Youtube channel one, just so it can go with the Gmail that my school just had me set up. I hope that it picks up in popularity because I just deleted my Facebook, for the billionth time. This time it wasn't because I saw a post that made me doubt my trust in humanity, as it was the last few times, but I was actually having a wee bit of stalker problems. Plus I never used it, and people were always referring to messages they'd sent me on there (most of which never even showed up when I logged in? Weird...)

So cheers to a new blog-tastic and social-media-licious start!
