What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I've been dying to write this post since I wrote the one from last week...the favorites have just been piling up! I love writing all of my posts, but this one is probably my most favorite weekly series because it's a lot of beauty favorites, so it's like a secret favorites video that people who just watch my videos and don't read my blog won't see! I'm here watching Ashleigh again (she was in my last week's Wednesday Favorites post, if you're confused), and Miranda's about to just brought me my cup of iced coffee and is joining me in the lounge (and is currently reading over my shoulder because she can't wait to see what my favorites are!) So let's get this show on the road!

I'm sorry that this is the most ratchet logo ever. Someone make me one!

~Tide To Go This stuff has saved my butt SO many times this week! Normally I just use a stain stick I have in my room that I also really like, but that stain stick doesn't dry and makes the spot blue until you wash it, so it's not like you can wear that article of clothing again before laundry day. I put my Tide pen in my backpack last week, since I'm CONSTANTLY getting stains...literally, every single day, I stain at least one thing that I'm wearing. It usually happens the second I pick up a coffee cup. But anyways, I've been using this pen, and it dries clear so you can keep on wearing whatever piece of clothing you wore, and it completely takes the stains out! You could probs go a really long time without having to wash something if you just used this pen every time you dropped something on it....jussayin.

~Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Deeep Conditioner I have been obsessed with hair masks and deep conditioners ever since my Paul Mitchell Moisture stuff ran out...I forget the exact name but it was in my August Favorites video!

Anyways, this is my "home deep conditioner"- when I go home for the weekends, this is the one that I use when I'm there so I don't have to drag the one I use on campus with me. This is actually my mom's that she got when her hair got really brittle a couple years ago, but she never really uses it so I thought I'd help her get rid of it (; it's probably one of the cheapest deep conditioners out there, and makes your hair soo0oo0oo0 soft! The second I wash it out I feel my hair get softer, and I don't even use a regular conditioner afterwards- my hair is de-tangled enough to be able to comb it out without even a leave in conditioner or anything! Amaaazzzing. (Miranda would like me to point out that the sub-name of this is Moist, a word that she hates with a passion. Please change this, Aussie.)

I don't own this picture.

~This isn't so much of a thing I love, but more of a thing that maaaybe won't suck- next semester. My class registration date is tomorrow (during my PT appointment, so I can picture it now- my feet will literally be in the torture tub of Arctic death, and I'm gonna have to jump out and go get my laptop to sign up for classes lololol. This should be interesting) Anyways, it doesn't look like I'm gonna be in a math or a science class! The req'd science class I'd have to take is already all filled up (which I don't understand, because they were like that yesterday yet freshman registration started today, but it's a freshman class? Wut? Who is stealing our classes?) and I should technically be all done with math classes since I took really high level, AP math classes in high school. The credits haven't transferred properly though, so I have some beef with the Registrar office that I haven't gotten the chance to take care of yet, so that will all have to happen next semester! Oh no, poor me....all liberal arts classes, what will I ever do?! (You could cut my sarcasm with a knife).

~My New L.L. Bean Jacket My mom bought it for me at a sale literally two weeks ago, which was perfect timing because ever since yesterday, it's been freezing here! It's supposed to be good for up to -20 degrees, which it hasn't been yet, but it's sure felt like it! I got a pretty plummy purple color, and it's lined with flannel on the inside. Unlike every other winter jacket I've owned in the past, it doesn't make me look like a huge puff ball, and actually has a little form to it at the waist! It's comfy and light and not too bulky- perfect.

~Throat Tea I'm doing a full review on this tomorrow for my Thirsty Thursday post (most likely), so I won't go into detail or even say the full name! But long story short, I keep waking up with a sore throat, so I'll have this tea in the late afternoon or night. It's delishhh and works semi-well. Mostly it just tastes good and the warmth is soothing to my throat.

~My Giveaway & also my followers It's kind of lame to me to post this as a favorite, but I just looked at my blog followers AND THERE ARE NOW 7! SEVEN!! I had 3 a week and a half ago....I'm guessing they're newbies who found this majestical blog of total seriousness because they have to follow it for my giveaway. BUT EITHER WAY, I'm really really glad you all are here and I'm so happy to have you! I hope you like my posts, and always feel free to request something if you'd like to see me do a post about it. Here's my giveaway, if you haven't entered yet- it's super easy and there are 2 winners!

~Colgate Optic White Enamel White Toothpaste

I picked this up on my trip to Target last weekend (which I will post sometime this week!) because my Aquafresh Whitening toothpaste (in the orange tube) worked okay but not to the level I'd like, and the taste kind of made me nauseous because I'm very picky with my mints. THIS ONE WORKS SO WELL! My teeth look whiter and more clear/less stained, if that makes sense- I feel like the entire tooth is one uniform shade, which wasn't exactly the case before. The mint taste is okayyy, it grew on me throughout the first few times I used it. The toothpaste has a weird warming sensation when you use it, which I can't tell if I like or not. But I really do love this stuff, and it was only around $3 and on an endstand in Target. It makes me look forward to brushing! Every time I have a meal, I'm tempted to go run to the bathroom and pull this stuff out. Plus it's in the kind of tube I like where the cap doesn't completely come off, so that's another plus!

That's all for now, folks! I'm uploading a video to my beauty channel right now- an 8 minute video shouldn't take 3+ hours to upload! The crappy dorm wifi is definitely not a favorite! I'll put it here when it's up!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Ever since I saw RamblingsofaSuburbanMom do this post last week, I've been thinking of what my favorites this week would be! A lot of them are random, so let's get started! Here's what I'm loving this week:

~The fact that I now have 5 followers on my blog! I literally just got my 4th a couple of days ago, and now I'm at five!!!! I haven't had new followers since spring, so this is a great thing! So what if one of them is me....awk. I don't know how to unfollow it anyway! But if you enjoy this blog, please share it with your friends and maybe they'll like it and follow it too! I freak out in the happiest way possible when I see that that number has risen. Thanks guys!

~I've been mentioning her in every blogpost lately, so I'm sorry to sound like a broken record, but I literally want my life to be like this woman's one day. Look at her cute kids! Her blog is at RamblingsofaSuburbanMom.com, and she does reviews on just about every subscription box service in the world, which originally got me hooked on her. Since then, I've been addicted to her daily posts, like today's "So What Wednesday," and have been modeling some of my posts after hers. The daily email I get from her telling me what all of her new posts of the day are is my favorite email I get all day! She is the reason I've started blogging so much again, and I really love it. It's a great release, and she's adorable and funny, so check her out if you'd like!

~The NYC Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss in Pleasantly Plump Pink! I've worn this twice this week and it's just a really great texture. I'll be writing a whole blogpost review about it because I got it in my Influenster Varsity Voxbox, so stay tuned!

~Twizzlers! They're more like a monthly favorite, but my monthly favorite video schedule is all messed up, unfortunately, so I don't think I'll be having an October favorites video :( Anyways, when these were on sale and I had a coupon for them at CVS, I bought myself 2 whole bags of fun sized packs of them, and am about 3/5 through one of them (I might be nice and share the second bag). I always eat them when I'm at my desk, either blogging or doing homework. They're just so perfect and I love biting them in half....ugh I have such a crush on Twizzlers this week. I literally crave them 12/7.

~Ashleigh Banfield

This is a crap picture I took of a tv across the lounge from me where I usually wait between classes, since I can't go all the way back to my room while on crutches. She's a CNN newscaster and always does a segment called the "Legal View" or something like that. She's so logical and I just love her- catching up on the news between classes just makes me feel so up to date and with the world! Hooray!

~Purple Pens by Zebra

Normally these Z-Grip colored pens skip and give me all sorts of ink blotches when I try to take colorful notes in class, but for some reason this purple one is really smooth, and in just about every class I've had so far this week, I've taken notes with this. I've just really liked purple for some reason!

I also just uploaded a beauty video to my main channel, so don't miss it!

Belated Thirsty Thursday: K-cup of the Week

Before I begin, let me just say sorry for having this post be belated! I had all these Halloween-themed posts I was thinking of doing, but none of them happened because it took me forever to get into my costume (well, the thigh high socks and leggings mostly) with me being in a wheelchair. That being said, I also didn't want to post this too late last night while everyone was out, so I figured I'd just put it up today. Monday's still a thirsty day, right? (at least around here it is....yeesh) **NOTE: Okay....so this was supposed to go up Thursday, I wrote most of it on Friday, and then forgot about it over the weekend, so it's actually a Thirsty Monday. Sorry!!! I've been aching to blog all day though, so let's get on with it.**

Also, this week's "K-cup of the Week" is more like a K-cup of the Day / my Halloween cup of joe. I realized that between last Thursday and yesterday, I'd only spent two nights on campus. TWO! And I'm supposed to be living here full time...HA! That was mostly because I've been all over the place getting specialists to look at my foot/ankle and getting MRIs. So, needless to say, I haven't been around my Keurig baby enough to have been using a huge variety of K-cups.

Miranda recently bought the Dunkin Donuts Peppermint Mocha coffee K-cups, and thought yesterday morning would be a good time to try them out. I made some for both of us, and with the two of us dancing around in our pajamas with matching coffees, I felt like we were in a Clean & Clear Morning Burst commercial lol. I picked out my most Halloween-y mug, my Wicked Witch of the West mug, and we used some International Delight French Vanilla creamer, the powdered kind. It was actually a really good combination. I was a little afraid the peppermint would make the vanilla curdle or something, but it was 100% fine and 100% delish.

So this is my fave coffee combo of the week, even though it's kind of cheating to say that since I only had it once. I actually haven't used my Keurig since Halloween, but next time I do I'll have to try this one out again! It's really good and not so peppermint-y that you feel like you skipped right over Thanksgiving and are in holly jolly holidays mode!

Hope you all had a great Halloween- I'll have to post some pictures in a later post this week! Some of them came out pretty cute!

Thirsty Thursday: K-Cup of the Week

It's that day of the week again: Thursday. The day everyone does #Throwbacks on Instagram (where you should follow me @elleohelle86, by the way....), the day college kids go out and party and miss their 8 ams the next day, and the day that I, MissGlamBAM, nominate my K-cup of the week.

If you missed last week's episode, you can read it here.

This week, my pick came in a box of free samples I requested from target.com/samples (see picture below)

This isn't sponsored by Target and I'm not partnered with them or anything (they don't even know I'm tellin y'all dis), but I just thought I'd share since I signed up for these and some Clearasil wash! Someone posted the link on Twitter, I applied, answered a couple survey questions, and these were in my mailbox 2 weeks later!

The box was super cute and I show it in a haul I just edited that probs won't be up for a week or so, and it came with 4 Snapple K-cups, 2 peach and 2 lemon iced teas, and then a coupon for $2 off. And you all know how much I love coupons, so I was super excited.

I've always wanted to try these! My favorite this week, to my own surprise, is actually the Snapple Lemon Iced Tea Brew Over Ice K-cup. Normally I'm more of a peach person and love the bottled version of it, but for some reason I've been reaching for the lemon ones this week and haven't even touched the peach ones.

I like these because they're just as sweet as the bottled ones, but taste more fresh, since you just brewed it in your Keurig and all. The lemon isn't tart, and as someone who usually despises lemon-flavored things, these have a perfect iced tea taste in my opinion. It's not that artificial flavor of iced teas you buy from a vending machine, nor is it that super sugary-sweet flavor you get from sweet teas- it's a perfect in between that has a little grit and bitterness to it, but also a lot of sweet and fruity flavor. They're just great!

Brew Over Ice K-cups never really work that well for me....I put an entire ice cube tray in the cup, and then the cubes are all melted two minutes later and my drink is still half hot...wtf? I like to brew it over ice, pop it in the fridge for 10 minutes, then add more ice, and THEN it's truly cold. Just a tip (:

What's your favorite tea or coffee drink this week? Do you have a Keurig? Have you mastered the technique of Brew Over Ice K-cups yet? (cuz I sure haven't....awkz)

Thirsty Thursday: K-Cup of the Week

If you currently are, ever have been, or are frequently around college students, you've probably heard of the phrase Thirsty Thursday. Just to be a punny jerk, I thought I would start a new series on either my channel or my blog with the same title, but talking about non-alcoholic things that you drink...and since I love caffeine in all of its forms and have been trying tons of new K-cup varieties in my Keurig lately, I thought I would do this weekly post! It could've been a weekly video, but my roommate decided to make me wait to film until it was dark out and I had laundry to do and blah blah blah, I can't right now. HENCE THE BLOG!

So this week, my favorite coffee/tea/etc. flavor to make instantly in my Keurig are the pumpkin coffee ones from Dunkin' Donuts. My mom bought them for me one night when she was driving me back to campus and we made our usual caffeine pitstop, which happened to be during the sale they had where 2 boxes of K-cups were $20, when they're normally $12-$14 each, I believe? I've been eyeing the pumpkin ones for ages, so of course they were picked up.

They come in a box of 14...or is it 16? Shit! Either way, there's plenty for me to enjoy. I think I've only used 2 or 3 so far, so I'm good. I've been pairing these with my Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz mug that I found at Barnes & Noble, and some International Delight French Vanilla coffee creamer - both the powdered and needs-to-be-refrigerated kind, since for some reason I have both right now.

I'm almost pumpkined out, and sometimes the spices in pumpkin coffee are too strong and give me a stomach ache, but this blend has the perfect balance and is nice and smooth, and with the vanilla creamer I just mentioned, it tastes "just like a pumpkin creme brûlée!" - direct quote of mine from this morning. Puts me in a great mood in the morning and is just so downright delicious! It smells great too- sometimes I'll just hang out at my desk with my nose in the mug, soaking up all the flavor through my nose....if that makes sense without sounding weird....which I highly doubt it does....

What coffee flavors have you been loving this week? Who has the best pumpkin coffee, in your opinion? What other weekly segments should I do on my blog (that I've just recently stopped abandoning....sorrrrry)?

Leave a comment if you have something to say!
