Belated Thirsty Thursday: K-cup of the Week

Before I begin, let me just say sorry for having this post be belated! I had all these Halloween-themed posts I was thinking of doing, but none of them happened because it took me forever to get into my costume (well, the thigh high socks and leggings mostly) with me being in a wheelchair. That being said, I also didn't want to post this too late last night while everyone was out, so I figured I'd just put it up today. Monday's still a thirsty day, right? (at least around here it is....yeesh) **NOTE: Okay....so this was supposed to go up Thursday, I wrote most of it on Friday, and then forgot about it over the weekend, so it's actually a Thirsty Monday. Sorry!!! I've been aching to blog all day though, so let's get on with it.**

Also, this week's "K-cup of the Week" is more like a K-cup of the Day / my Halloween cup of joe. I realized that between last Thursday and yesterday, I'd only spent two nights on campus. TWO! And I'm supposed to be living here full time...HA! That was mostly because I've been all over the place getting specialists to look at my foot/ankle and getting MRIs. So, needless to say, I haven't been around my Keurig baby enough to have been using a huge variety of K-cups.

Miranda recently bought the Dunkin Donuts Peppermint Mocha coffee K-cups, and thought yesterday morning would be a good time to try them out. I made some for both of us, and with the two of us dancing around in our pajamas with matching coffees, I felt like we were in a Clean & Clear Morning Burst commercial lol. I picked out my most Halloween-y mug, my Wicked Witch of the West mug, and we used some International Delight French Vanilla creamer, the powdered kind. It was actually a really good combination. I was a little afraid the peppermint would make the vanilla curdle or something, but it was 100% fine and 100% delish.

So this is my fave coffee combo of the week, even though it's kind of cheating to say that since I only had it once. I actually haven't used my Keurig since Halloween, but next time I do I'll have to try this one out again! It's really good and not so peppermint-y that you feel like you skipped right over Thanksgiving and are in holly jolly holidays mode!

Hope you all had a great Halloween- I'll have to post some pictures in a later post this week! Some of them came out pretty cute!

Thirsty Thursday: K-Cup of the Week

If you currently are, ever have been, or are frequently around college students, you've probably heard of the phrase Thirsty Thursday. Just to be a punny jerk, I thought I would start a new series on either my channel or my blog with the same title, but talking about non-alcoholic things that you drink...and since I love caffeine in all of its forms and have been trying tons of new K-cup varieties in my Keurig lately, I thought I would do this weekly post! It could've been a weekly video, but my roommate decided to make me wait to film until it was dark out and I had laundry to do and blah blah blah, I can't right now. HENCE THE BLOG!

So this week, my favorite coffee/tea/etc. flavor to make instantly in my Keurig are the pumpkin coffee ones from Dunkin' Donuts. My mom bought them for me one night when she was driving me back to campus and we made our usual caffeine pitstop, which happened to be during the sale they had where 2 boxes of K-cups were $20, when they're normally $12-$14 each, I believe? I've been eyeing the pumpkin ones for ages, so of course they were picked up.

They come in a box of 14...or is it 16? Shit! Either way, there's plenty for me to enjoy. I think I've only used 2 or 3 so far, so I'm good. I've been pairing these with my Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz mug that I found at Barnes & Noble, and some International Delight French Vanilla coffee creamer - both the powdered and needs-to-be-refrigerated kind, since for some reason I have both right now.

I'm almost pumpkined out, and sometimes the spices in pumpkin coffee are too strong and give me a stomach ache, but this blend has the perfect balance and is nice and smooth, and with the vanilla creamer I just mentioned, it tastes "just like a pumpkin creme brûlée!" - direct quote of mine from this morning. Puts me in a great mood in the morning and is just so downright delicious! It smells great too- sometimes I'll just hang out at my desk with my nose in the mug, soaking up all the flavor through my nose....if that makes sense without sounding weird....which I highly doubt it does....

What coffee flavors have you been loving this week? Who has the best pumpkin coffee, in your opinion? What other weekly segments should I do on my blog (that I've just recently stopped abandoning....sorrrrry)?

Leave a comment if you have something to say!
