Thursday Thoughts!

Whoa whoa whoa, when was the last time I did a Thursday Thoughts? Pretttty sure it was November, since I was just reading that post a minute ago trying to remember what I called my Thursday column...LOL! 

I've been itching to blog all day, but with a million chores and errands to do, along with having the puppy trainer come over, I've been one busy stay at home dog mom. Seriously. This entire week I've been getting up 4 times a night with this little angel....

^ that's Sunny, and we brought her home exactly 2 weeks ago today! Getting a puppy has been a dream of mine for as long as I could remember, and this summer all of the pieces finally fell into place for my family and we brought this little booger home to live with us! I post pictures of her pretty frequently on my Instagram, so if you can't get enough, ya best be followin' me, ya hear? @elleohelle86 is my username, come join the party!

Baby dog vs. mountain lion

My first story of the day will be a description of a moment I REALLY wish I'd had a camera for....I brought Sunny over to our neighbor's house this morning to meet their puppy (her first puppy playdate/friend!) who's a 5 month old, some sort of Shiloh Shepherd....basically she looks like a German Shepherd but is huuuuge for a puppy! She's referred to as a "lion," for goodness' sakes! And they say she'll DOUBLE in size when she's full grown! When she was Sunny's current age, she weighed 25 pounds...Sunny is around 6 ha ha ha. Watching them play and chase each other was just hilarious because of the size difference, and Sunny's cutie pie attempts to paw at this massive dog were too adorable to handle. 

Get ready for lots of unboxing hauls!

The mail lady came today, and she had so many packages for me that she actually had to hand-deliver them to me where I was hanging out on the porch! I got a subscription box sent to me to review, and a bunch of packages of things I've bought off of Depop! I've been getting some great deals on MAC products I've been looking for (which I will do swatch / review posts on shortly!), and will still have plenty of packages to come in the future :) P.S. My embarrassing gothic encounter...

So while I was opening up my packages and trying on some lipsticks later in the day for swatch blogposts, yet another mailman came up to the porch to deliver YET another box (this one wasn't for me though... aw :/ ), I happened to be wearing the Lorde Pure Heroine lipstick that I was trying on, but didn't have any other makeup on because, let's face it, it's summer and my day off, and ain't nobody got time fo dat. So he walks up to me and I'm just wearing this dark lipstick that probably looks black from a distance, and he probably thought I was writing emo poetry while out on the porch instead of taking close ups of lipstick boxes....totally casual / embarrassing... whoops. Awk.

OOPS I DID IT AGAIN

That's right, I placed my second order from erincondren.com in the past month or so. Her new On the Go Notebooks came out and I just couldn't resist (and somehow talked my dad into getting one for me as a gift? What? I'm magical sometimes), and I've been spending days designing my perfect collage for the covers! They're stupidly expensive but ridiculously blinged out and meticulously thought out notebooks, and being the freakishly organized person that I am, I just had to put my order in for one while I was in back to school shopping mode. They're so new that I couldn't find any online reviews for them (unlike when you look up the Life Planner and a million and one videos come up...most of which I watched while trying to decide whether I needed a planner or not...hehe #guilty). They look really similar to the planners feature-wise, and I'm super excited to use it for one of my major classes I'm taking this fall! I guess I'm technically cheating because it's almost 1am on Friday, but in my head it's still Thursday. Off to finish this episode of Friends (my latest obsession) and continue editing my July Favorites video, if my laptop wants to cooperate!

Riri Hearts MAC Fall Collection- Swatches

I recently uploaded my unboxing haul of MAC's Riri Hearts MAC Fall Collection, designed and inspired by my lady crush, Rihanna. 

In the video I show some swatches, but I thought I would also post some of the swatch pictures on my blog so you can get a closer look and in slightly higher def than the video! Enjoy!

Here's a look I created with the things I got from this collection! My bronzer is Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless, and my blush is MAC Peaches. Honestly don't remember what lip products I used....they may or may not be from this collection? It looks like the Riri Woo Lipglass though..hm...

My Top 5 Favorite Everyday Lipsticks (Swatches)

Hello Dollface! I just made a video about my 5 most worn everyday lipsticks, which included a mix of drugstore and high end. I hope you enjoy the video and some bonus swatches and pictures of what they look like on, in case you were thinking of getting any yourself!

Here's my handful of swatches- what a wide variety of colors that you can get away with on a daily basis!
