I'm trying to do so many new videos at once right now, but I did film my 25 days of Vlogmas and loved doing it, so before my vacation is over, I'll start up my vlog channel AT LAST just for Vlogmas. Hope you'll love them though they're a little late!

OPI Nail Polish Review: "Dusk Over Cairo"

Since I'm celebrating a late Thanksgiving today, I thought I'd go for a more fall-ish color. In the bottle, this shade looks like a gorgeous red-pink with a gold shimmer/undertone, and with a name like that (I've actually been to Cairo, so the name struck a chord with me!) I thought it'd be a pleasing pick!

Coverage: After 2 coats, I was completely disgusted with how sheer this polish was. Even after 3, which is when the picture shown was taken, you could still tell where the whites of my nails were! I even went ahead and did 4 coats, but that was a waste of time because it looked exactly the same, but the gold shimmer was a little more noticeable which redeemed it slightly.

The color: ...looks horrible on me. I think it's because I had pinkish skin, whereas my mom has more golden/tan undertones in her skin. I'm glad this is actually her nail polish because I would be mad if I'd spent $8.50 on this myself.
The color looks great in the bottle-on the back where it isn't quite blended together, you can see a tan/gold swirl that makes me swoon ( I put another picture of the back side for you), but only in a very specific light can you see this golden ness when you have the polish on. It's too light of a golden pink to be flattering, in my opinion. It kind of looks like the color your skin would turn if you had a burn or scar, yuck!

Lasting power: usually OPI has decent staying power and won't chip for 3-7 days. However, not only has this color been dinged on four of my fingers already, but it also has chipped minorly on a couple nails. Maybe it's been because I've been in the kitchen all morning, but I let the polish dry for a good 5 or so minutes before adding a top coat or touching anything.

Overall, I'm very glad I only painted one hand with this color to test it out. I want to take it off soon, but I'm waiting for it to grow on me at least a little bit. My advice: stay away from this one!

Cyber Monday Ulta (Unboxing) Haul!

FOTD: Shocking Combos!

Not the most flattering picture, but I thought it showed the colors well!

I had about five minutes to do my makeup this morning and just slapped on a blue shadow I'd been meaning to wear for a week now!

Eyes: First I applied my homemade primer instead of my usual benefit one because it was easier to grab! It held up pretty well, but not perfectly.
The shadow is Steamy by MAC, and gave a lot better pigmentation as a lid color today than it did as a crease color in my Rave Girl tutorial. I was very impressed with it today, since usually I'm disappointed with the color payoff!

Lips: I just wanted a little more color on them when I filmed today, so I brushed on a Soft Matte Lip Cream by NYX in Antwerp. I think that color would add a lot of color to any complexion!

Mini Blogpost Haul!

Hey Angels! Usually when I get about 2-5 items that are beauty/fashion/organization related, I just put them in a Dailybooth post instead of making a haul video, but this time I thought I'd share them on Blogger because I've been absolutely addicted to blogging lately!

So I should start off by mentioning that everything here is actually from a grocery store! How ironic! Dear Big Y, thanks for starting to carry OPI & China Glaze- the day I found out was so exciting!

First on the left, you can see those gorgeously pink Sharpie highlighters- usually just one of those retails around $3 at Staples, but I got two from the sale section for 74 cents! Whatta steal! My pink highlighters that I bring to school for use in music class and studying were starting to die, so these came at the perfect time(:

Next, (and this is actually the reason I was holding off a few days on this haul) are 2 Maybelline eyeshadow palettes that I got as part of my friend's birthday present! She's one of my acting buddies, so we always bond over makeup in the dressing room & I thought it'd be a great way for her to practice her skills (not that she even needs makeup, cause she's GORGEOUS inside & out) <3
The one on the left has such unique colors- the teal in the lower right is something I want in my own collection! I think the name of that palette is Seashore Frosts, but I'm not sure! I think she'll really love the lavenders and royal blues, and the upper right color reminds me of MAC's Satin Taupe!
The other palette is another one I've been meaning to pick up for awhile because of the beautiful neutral colors. It makes me laugh that it's a different layout than the other one- I'm really not a big fan of the new way Maybelline is setting up their quads so they're all different sizes. The name is Designer Chocolates and it gets a lot of good reviews and love on Youtube(: Both of these were around $6.50!

Lastly is my favorite item- a new China Glaze nail polish! This is only the second one in my CG collection in the shade Cashmere Creme. It's the perfect nude-brown color, a perfect fall shade that I've had my eyes on for awhile! If you follow me on Pose or Instagram, I posted pictures of this on my toes! This color dries so incredibly fast that I can't wait to use it as a manicure when my current polish (see what it is HERE) chips off!

Revlon Nail Polish Review: "Sherry"!

So today I tried on this gorgeous creamy shade that's an oldie in my collection- it's one of their older Speed Dry shades, so I'm not sure if it's still available, but I really hope so!

As for the consistency, it's so thick and creamy that it's dark and opaque with one coat (though I would suggest two since it nicks easily). It really does dry extremely fast, but even though it's dry to the touch it will still smudge if you touch anything like zippers, seat belts, etc.

I love the color- it's hard to tell if it's a brown or reddish purple, but either way it's perfect for this chilly transition time between fall and winter! It's almost matte because the color is so intense, but the polish does have a built in shine. I'm in love with how unique it is and how it looks different each time you see it.

Love the formula, love the color, love it's drying power! I haven't had it on long enough to judge staying power, but since I've had so many Revlon polishes, I can guess that it'll be OPI or better for chip resisting!

Homecoming Tutorial: "Pretty Girl Rock" Metallic Makeup!

Hey Angels, I've been loving this look for a fancy night out and think it's perfect for homecoming, so I decided to do a tutorial! It's ironic that I made up this look before I got my dress because my dress ended up being silver! I know it's a little late, but I haven't had my homecoming yet and maybe some of you haven't either! FOTD: Picture Perfect Purples!

Today I'm all dressed up for my college I.D. pictures! Even though that didn't end up happening because of paperwork issues, I still wanted to get my picture in, so I'm doing this blog post cause I miss you guys!

Hair:
I straightened it and parted it to the side. Originally I didn't have a part, but today's extreme wind was working against me, so I just made a definitive part and took a hairbrush with me to keep it pretty and in-line all day.

Outfit:
I'm pretty sure I wore this plum-ruffled shirt and gray cardigan combo in an OOTD video on my channel! Thought it looked detailed enough for a picture and that the colors complimented each other (:

Makeup:
Now, what you've all been waiting for! I finally tried out my new H.I.P. eyeshadow duo that was featured in my Fall Makeup Haul on my channel! The purple colors really bring out my hazel eyes and make them look especially green, especially with the top being purple as well!
I'm having a really good mascara day, and I used a different Clinique mascara for top lashes and another one for bottom. One will be featured in this month's favorites video, which I'm hopefully filming later today!
Not actually wearing anything on my cheeks, it's just warm where I am so I have my usual natural flush going on (;
For lips, I meant to go with a soft pink, but I forgot how red-tinted this lipstick was! It's a Maybelline Color Sensational in Pink Peony, which is one of the longest-lasting lip colors I own. Seriously, test it out while you eat foods all day long, and it'll still be there at the end of the day.

Secret Videos!

Hey Pretty People! Since I've been slower with my videos lately and have decided to downgrade my upload schedule a little bit, I thought I'd take up a big more blogging! The Fowler girls always seem so excited to post on theirs, and they also keep to a rigorous schedule. How to Apply False Eyelashes!

I think this is one of the toughest things any guru can do, so I decided to give you guys an in depth guide to applying false lashes because it's something I didn't even understand until a few months ago. Did you know that Oprah has had false lashes made out of mink, and Jennifer Lopez got some made out of red fox for the Academy Awards!? Have no fear, the ones I use are synthetic fibers- I'm an animal lover, for goodness sakes! I honestly thought this video would be around 3-5 minutes...oops, guess it went a little over! But hopefully that extra time will teach you to know what you're doing!

Where Have I BEEN Lately?

So if you haven't noticed, my every-2-or-3-or-sometimes-if-I'm-really-busy-4-times a week upload schedule has been getting majorly screwed up lately! Over the summer I had so much more time to upload and edit tons of videos at once, which meant that I had more to upload. I also have a huge list of videos ready to upload at any given time, and now most of them are used up so I'm having to put a lot more work into what I do to produce the same amount of videos! I'm perfectly willing to do it, I just don't have the time lately.


Hopefully this will change shortly, but I feel bad having you guys wait every few nights for something new when I don't get around to it until the weekend! Some  nights I'm lucky...like last Monday I had time to upload because I'd edited the night before! But for now I'm thinking don't count on anything more frequent than every 4 days, and I'm most likely going to only upload about once or twice a week, around weekends or Fridays/Mondays. 


Who knows though- I might get a miracle and have a bunch of time free up ( I'm almost done making up school work that I missed THREE WHOLE WEEKS ago when I was sick, so maybe that'll be a better time for videos!)


So now that you know the reasons and that my uploads won't be as frequent, which I feel super guilty and sad about, maybe now you'll know when to expect videos so you can make sure to see every single one! Hahahah(: You never know, right? For me, at least, I find it hard to keep up with my favorite youtubers when they're uploading every other day! Maybe that'll just be a summer thing for me- every other day, that is- because there's so much more free time for everyone to watch. I guess we're all busy now, so I hope no one minds this change of pace too much!

Getting Ready TAG: Permit Pictures Edition!

Hey Angels (get it…you guys all watch me, like Angels watch over you? Eh, eh? Hopefully it’ll catch on…) I was SO excited to go get my permit pictures taken the other day, and I made sure my makeup and hair were picture-perfect, and decided to film the whole process for you guys since it was a special day (and cause I love watching Getting Ready videos!) Fun fact: I took 23 minutes of film, and this took me a little over an hour to edit out completely! I hope you all enjoy, and let me know if you want more videos like these or if you have any requests! I had a lot of fun working on this one(:

P.S. I don’t usually get ready in that room so the mirror and camera situation was a little weird…oops! I thought I did a pretty good job for using the flip screen on my camera as a mirror for 80% of the makeup!

What's Going on With My Vlog/Second Channel?

I was supposed to open a second channel for vlogs, singing, etc., when I hit 800 subs, BUT I haven't been able to think of a good enough name! I'm really not that excited about my beauty channel name so I want to make sure this one is something I can stick with! I have a moderator on my channel if you'd like to submit suggestions or vote on others. PLEASE DON'T SPAM IT! Half of the entries so far are spam, and that just makes me annoyed and want to block your channel, so keep it helpful please(:

Twitter Shoutouts!

Thought of a new idea that hopefully you'll all like and be able to participate in (relating to Twitter!)


So since it's a Friday, I did my usual #FF shoutouts using Followfriday.com , where they recommend users for you to shoutout, and you pick among them.


But I thought that instead of doing that every week, (or maybe in addition to it? Let me know!) I could give a shoutout to whoever wins a shoutout from the best comments from my video during the week! Or...I could do a comment spotlight during my videos, featuring the best comments. 


I'm really just thinking through it, and all typed out it probably doesn't make much sense to you guys, LOL. But does anyone have any ideas?


Another Twitter "shoutout segment" I'd like to do on a weekly basis could be the Youtuber I'm liking the most, my favorite TV show people, as long as they have Twitters, and in addition, my #1 fan of the week! 700/800 Subscriber Giveaway Update!

Hey everyone-
So I promised at 700 subscribers to do a giveaway, but shortly after hitting that goal I did some research and found some sites online that say that only Youtube Partners can do giveaways, otherwise you risk your account being taken down. It even says this in the Youtube handbook- but I've seen plenty of gurus on Youtube that aren't partners do giveaways. So...what gives? If anyone knows anything about this topic, PLEASE let me know on twitter, Youtube, or my Youtube email: Everything.Elle@yahoo.com because otherwise I'm really just stuck on what to do! I really need to keep my promise, and I have everything picked out and ready to go for the giveaway, but I really don't want to risk it!

My other issue is that I don't know what to put for a return address. I don't want my own address on there, but there's really nothing else you can do that would cooperate with the post offices! I've asked many of my guru friends and they say that either a) for sponsored giveaways the companies send the products themselves [however, mine isn't sponsored so that's not an option!], b) their family members shipped it for them, or c) they used their own address and had no problems, but I still feel shaky about that.

It is really important that I get parental permission before doing the giveaway, so I'm sorry for the delay but I really need to get past these issues before I can make the giveaway video! Please let me know if you have a solution for either of them, that would really help me out(:
